People

Unlike most apparel brands, more than 86 percent of Russell Athletic® products are manufactured in our own locations by our own team members. In fact, we are one of the largest private employers in Honduras and El Salvador, and we have helped with labor rights advancements in Honduras and throughout Central America. We have been Fair Labor Association accredited since 2011 and a member since 2002. Our Labor Relations Framework has been recognized with a Secretary of State’s Award for Corporate Excellence.

Our comprehensive Code of Conduct based on our core values of respect for people and doing business with integrity guides our responsible practices protecting our people and our planet. All of our owned and contract manufacturing locations are assessed annually.

Community

As part of the Fruit of the Loom family of brands, we donate more than $3 million in new apparel to people in need each year. We also contribute more than $1.4 million annually to improving the physical and emotional wellbeing of others in communities around the world. We even customize community giving to make the greatest impact whether it’s Digital Learning Centers and our Community 5K in El Salvador or Fabric for Hospital Linens in Honduras.

Planet

Some of the ways we have worked on alleviating our environmental footprint is through renewable energy, water conservation, and waste reduction.

  • Renewable Energy
    • Our Honduras Biomass Energy and Hydroelectric Plants reduce emissions and supply surplus energy to local communities.
  • Water Conservation
    • In Morocco, our vertically integrated manufacturing facility includes state-of-the-art waste-water treatment technology.
  • Waste Reduction
    • Our recycling protocols in North and Central America have resulted in 95% of total waste being recycled.
